Irish Shortbread

This recipe came from The Charmed Kitchen around St. Patrick's Day.

 It is now a new favorite of Mike's.

The secret ingredient is the cornstarch which makes them crispy.

Mix together
2  1/4 cup self rising flour
3/4 cup cornstarch
1/2 cup sugar

Add
1 cup melted butter
Combine well

Press into a pan firmly.  I use a round cake pan with a removable bottom.

Bake at 325 for 30-40 minutes or until the edges start to brown.

Cool and cut into squares.
