2020 Buying and Eating: July 1-15

July Allocation:  $340.69

What We Ate:  chilli spaghetti cheese bread, yogurt; ham, green beans, potato; scalloped potatoes and ham, roasted beets, bananas and yogurt (2); hotdogs, baked beans, pasta salad, watermelon; tuna cheese sandwiches; eggplant and pasta with sauce,yogurt and fruit, vegetable (2); baked potato, mixed vegetable, yogurt and fruit; leftover venison, broccoli potato;  Asian peanut butter noodles, lima beans, plums;  bean tikka masala, cottage cheese with onion and sunflower seeds, carrots with dill; bacon and lentil soup with yogurt


What We Bought:

Aldi:  watermelon  $2.89

Tops:  goldfish crackers, French onion dip, eggs (2), Italian bread, eggplant $7.15

Save a Lot:  bananas (1.66#). $0.25

Tops:  ice cream $2.99

Aldi:  hamburger (6#)  $9.75

Tops:  broccoli(1.1#)  $0.98

Sam's Club:  olive s$14.76

Salvage at a total of 7 stories, detailed in a post  $239.19. We should be set for quite a while!  Yes we will be into the cushion this month.

Save a Lot:  pork but roast to smoke (10.5#), pork back ribs (4#), onions (3#)  $24.09

Price Rite:  hamburger (2#), red peppers (4), fish (2#), shrimp (2#)  $30.56

Total for Groceries for the first two weeks:  $322.80

Eating Out:

Greek Festival lunch and dinner  $32.00
Birthday donuts  $2.60
Birthday lunch $6.00
Birthday dinner $19.33

Total for Eating Out for the first two weeks:  $59.93

Grand Total for two weeks:  $382.73

We are into the cushion by $42.04
The cushion now stands at $970.29

We have spent a large sum to stockpile for the future, taking advantage of sale prices.
