We have now completed all 93.5 miles, 73 locks and four tunnels( including the one with the little kink because two crews were working from different sides and didn't quite meet in the middle as planned) of the Trent and Mersey Canal. We have enjoyed the views of the East and West Midlands and the north east part of England that this canal travels through. Below are some pictorial reminders of a few of the sights that can be found along the Trent and Mersey. Now on to the Shropsie and the city of Chester.
Anderton Boat Lift
Harecastle Tunnel
The church at Alrewas
The lovely Swan Inn at Fradley Junction
